James Connolly, MD, a native of Louisiana, was born and raised in Uptown New Orleans. He attended Metairie Park Country Day High School and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science from Millsaps College. After completing his undergrad studies, Dr. Connolly spent the next year researching nerve regeneration and helping in cornea transplantation at LSU Medical Center (Lyons Clinic). In 2000, he received his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans.
Dr. Connolly then completed an internship in General Surgery and Residency in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, at University of Mississippi Medical Center.
Since completion of his residency, he has become Triple Board Certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), and The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy(AAOA). He is a Member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head And Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), A Member of the Louisiana Academy of Sleep Medicine (LASM), A Member of the Louisiana State Medical Society (LSMS) and A Member of the St. Tammany Medical Society (STPMS).
In 2012, Dr. Connolly returned to his home state to partner with SLENT. He has been providing quality medicine and exceptional patient care ever since!
