Marissa Corneille was born and raised down the bayou in a small south Louisiana town just outside Houma. Marissa completed her clinical externship year at SLENT Hearing & Balance Center, before graduating with her Doctor of Audiology degree in May 2018 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Prior to this, she attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge where she earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Disorders in 2014.
She has completed internships at Island Audiology in Hawaii, North Oaks Hospital, and several audiology practices in the greater New Orleans area and Baton Rouge.
Dr. Corneille is a member of the American Academy of Audiology, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and Louisiana Academy of Audiology.
Dr. Corneille has submitted her research concerning the importance and efficacy of school-based hearing screening programs in South Louisiana for publication to the American Journal of Audiology with her professor at LSUHSC in July of 2018.
Soon after moving to New Orleans to pursue her doctoral degree in Audiology, Marissa fell in love and married her husband Evan in June 2017. They welcomed their son Benjamin into the world in June 2018. When not busy at work caring for her patients, Marissa enjoys being a mom and exploring downtown Covington with her family.
