Otolaryngologist located in Mandeville, LA & Hammond, LA

Meet Dr. Guillot

Jason Guillot, MD, is a highly skilled otolaryngologist at SLENT, an exceptional otolaryngology practice with three convenient locations in Louisiana. Dr. Guillot works out of the offices in Mandeville and Hammond.

Dr. Guillot was born and raised in South Louisiana (Baton Rouge), graduating from Parkview Baptist High School. After high school graduation, his career and athletic aspirations (baseball) took him to a small, liberal arts university in the heart of Jackson, Mississippi (Belhaven University). There he played four years of collegiate NAIA baseball for the Blazers while successfully completing one of the more arduous pre-med educational curriculums in the Southeast.

Dr. Guillot obtained the opportunity to stay in Mississippi and attend medical school at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss), where he graduated magna cum laude. During those medical school years, Dr. Guillot discovered and nurtured a love for the anatomy and physiology of the head and neck. As a result, he chose to train and specialize in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (“Ear, Nose, and Throat”), performing a five-year surgical residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center under the tutelage of some of the most respected and accomplished faculty in the country.

Dr. Guillot wasn’t done yet; he still desired further training in two additional subspecialties that he found intellectually stimulating and fascinating: Facial Plastic Surgery and Hair Restoration Surgery. To that end, he was able to secure a prestigious and competitive one-year fellowship with Dr. Daniel Rousso in Birmingham – one of the only fellowships in the United States to offer combined certification in both of these fields of medicine. Through Dr. Rousso’s fellowship and daily guidance, Dr. Guillot was able to complete the fellowship obtaining the highest level of education and training in both Facial Plastic and Hair Restoration Surgery.

In 2010, Dr. Guillot founded SLENT. Dr. Guillot and his practice fully embrace serving the needs of this wonderful, growing community and its people.

Dr. Guillot is Board Certified by The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (ABOTO) and the American Board of Facial Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) and a Fellow of The American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy(AAOA). Dr. Guillot is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS), the Louisiana State Medical Society (LSMS), the St. Tammany Medical Society (STPMS), and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS).
