Meet Dr. Sorrel
Jon Sorrel, MD, is a diligent and compassionate otorhinolaryngologist. He currently treats patients at SLENT, a leading otolaryngology practice in Mandeville and Slidell, Louisiana.
Dr. Sorrel is a native of South Louisiana. After graduating as valedictorian of his high school, he attended Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. He then went on to get his medical degree from LSU Health Science Center in New Orleans.
While in school, Dr. Sorrel also met his wife Emily who received her nursing degree from LSUHSC and worked as a nurse in the neonatal ICU. Dr. Sorrel completed his five-year residency training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery. He had multiple presentations and publications and was the recipient of several awards during his residency.
He is a family man and the proud father of two daughters. His hobbies include fitness and the outdoors, but his main passion is his work as a physician. He is very excited to bring his family back home to Louisiana and honored for the opportunity to serve his community.
